THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED
Writing Contest
The AUTUMN writing contest is on! This summer and fall, The Masque's contest is to write an erotic thriller! Give us mystery! Give us suspense! Give us spies and politicians and guns and spells! Give us original work and fanfiction! Most of all, give us SEX! Lemons, limes, romance, hanky panky and makin' whoopie! Give it to us in any flavor, but make it tasty and juicy and yummy!
The prize for this contest is exquisite. We have a complete, signed set of Teddy Raye’s erotic thriller Her Minder series. The author has signed copies of the first two books, The Doctor and The Chine, so we will send those right away. When Teddy is finished with the third novel, Silverbirch, she will sign the first copy and it will be mailed right away! Teddy has provided the prize and she is going to be choosing the winner! (Hint, she really likes autumn!)
Prompts have been provided. Feel free to use them word for word or as inspiration.
The due date is October 5, 2019.
As always, voting will be blind, so stories will be submitted for posting on TheMasque.net via email to cis {at} themasque {dot} net. She’ll get them posted anonymously on TheMasque.net as they come in, as well as keeping track of who created what. This contest is open for stories only and may be either fanwork or an original erotic thriller or erotic suspense with any theme, any fandom, and in any genre. All authors and characters in sexual situations must be over 18. Please do not post your stories elsewhere until the contest has been voted on to keep it fair and anonymous. You may submit more than one piece to the contest. There is no word-count limit.

How’d you hear about this contest:
Prompts:
1) "Why are you looking at me like that?"
A silent, implacable gaze was the only response.
"What? I didn't take it."
A minute passed. The look never faltered.
"I wanted to, but I didn't do it."
Finally, in a voice rough from disuse, he replied, "This time."
2) I missed the crackle of autumn leaves crunching under my feet. That never happened here. Autumn happened, but there were no leaves. Just endless little vias that wound around and over the endless threat of rising water. The sooner I got the briefcase, the sooner I could get out Venice and back home to the university.
3) Oh, great. Another body in another basement. The perfect end to a less than perfect day. At least it wasn't another blonde this time.
4) "The address was 104 Donall Drive. He was told to be there at 8."
5) "The enormous house was my playground. All rooms were open to me. All rooms except one. And now I have the key."
6) Kyoto was famous for the Kyoto International Manga Museum and the Ginkaku-ji, the famed ‘Silver Pavilion’. It wasn’t known for the woman bleeding out in a back alley. Of course, no one knew she was dying behind the tea house yet.
7) I was the perfect wife for a rich man, and no one knew my secret.

It wasn’t the fall that was going to kill me. It was her legs. And maybe what was between them.
9) He awoke from a deep sleep with a vile headache – and 30 texts setting his cell on fire.
10) She was experienced enough to deal with the witnesses.
