Cheque ~ One syllable thou Check er had two.
Note: thou the word Dual has two vowels i.e A and U .....the linguistic nuances of the Australian language pronounces the word "Jewl" not Do al or Du al but "Jewl"

Therefore we need to clarify that if it will be based on vowels not pronunciation.

Ummm I never said cheque was two syllables. It is the word "only" I'm thinking has more then one? So if there are 5 words in the line and one has 2 syllables....... I'm just saying. *chuckles*

And I use Yahoo dictionary to double check (cheque?) syllables. Thus dual = 2. ALthough I suppose calling Oz rules on me can work in that case.

But I so can't let the latest one go.

Who would get a tick-et = 6

Unless you're going to try to convince me that Aussie's pronounce would as 2 syllables? Wuh-ood?
