HARU's 2009 FUN FREE Major League Baseball Fantasy League-All welcome to join!

YES Haru's Free Fun Major League Baseball (MLB) Fantasy League is back for 2009!  It's rotisserie style where all regular season long you're ranked among others in the league in 26 categories for batters and pitchers we will draft online!  It's all for fun and bragging rights but it's also FREE so why not join?  I need at least 3 more team managers to sign up with me so here's how you can get in on the fun!

1. Go to http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/league/haruleague to check my league out!  You do need a Yahoo account of course.

2. Join the league via there or email me and I can add you that way.  The password to join is anime in case it asks for it.

3. SUBMIT TO ME via email or reply EITHER a date before the season starts on MONDAY MARCH 30th, 2009 on the best days of the week you can do an online draft via YAHOO MESSANGER CONFERENCE (just email me too in case I need to add you) and I'll be setting up a day and time to do so which I'll email the league about

OR

SUBMIT ME via email or reply a HUGE list of wanted players for all positions (batters and pitchers-check the league page on who you'll need for your team positions starters) in the order of preference so I can use it to draft for you.  PLEASE make it large enough as the draft is a snake format and we draft the returning managers first in order of finish (last place gets first pick and such), then new players for round one, it goes in reverse order in round two and so forth until each team has the required 30 players.

Do that and you're on your way!  I hope to hear from you and feel free to contact me.  ONCE I post the date of the draft and it's done, I won't be able to add more teams so PLEASE enter early!

I was perusing a test place I was doing hockey and found I can do baseball there too, and unlike Yahoo it doesn't have a minimum for teams signed up. With the situation not looking good to get at least 2 more players for the Yahoo one, I've decided that if I don't get new signups by 12AM on Sunday, March 15th Eastern Time, I'll delete the league at Yahoo Sports for this year and take anyone who signed up there to do an online talk about drafting for this new one:

Updates going to be done in my Blogs roughly Once a Month starting March 30 when the season starts. Once I register the league with all team signups I will also figure out how people can view it too.

TEAM SETUP:

30 Players (Any Combination of Batters and Pitchers, no required max to choose either position but team must be of 30 players)

NO TRADES!-Go with the chosen team whole regular season.

POINT SYSTEM

BATTERS:
1 Point for Each Hit, Double, Walk, Run Scored, Run Batted In (RBI), and Stolen Base (SB)
2 Points for Each Triple
3 Points for Each Home Run (HR)

PITCHERS:
5 Points for Each Win, Complete Game, Shutout Game and No-Hitter Game
3 Points for Each Save
1 Point for Each Strikeout Thrown (K)

So it's not as nicely set up for some things as Yahoo Sports but can do due to if I can't get enough players there. Also this one let's you strategize whether to balance with batters and pitchers or to overload on one side that is sure points each day (batters) or gamble to the other side with bigger payoffs (pitchers). I'll email from those in it the rankings list from Yahoo Sports to aid in their drafting and it will be done the same day if I close the Yahoo one. Either way I now got a backup plan if the other one falls through, though again would prefer to do it still on Yahoo so PLEASE if still interested signup there; otherwise we'll go with the Sportsnet system this year.

Well now that I activated the pool no gurantee I can add more players now.  OK look over who is already drafted below, send me a PM of 30 players not picked yet and I'll try to add you.  It's a no trade league so just choose and I'll post how to see your stats as they are calculated for you!  You can choose any combination of pitchers and batters but check my previous reply on how scoring works.  And FYI Ken Griffey is still available!
