Ok lets get this board going again,Old verses New what do I mean by that well in the old days you had to search and search to find and learn our lifestyle there weren't hardly any books so it had to be learned by finding and getting a mentor.

There wasn't any reading material to help you learn the basics of scening even, so it had to be past down from generation to generation in order to keep it going. You had to work hard to learn where others in the lifestyle were and then meet them and slowly over time you became one of them.

Then you had to find some one willing to mentor you you had to go through a very rigorous set of questions and each one had to be answered the way the old timers felt they should be answered before they would take you on and mentor you.You had to know who and what you were before you could even begin searching for others in the lifestyle.

In the new days the internet has changed that, it is now easier than ever before to learn who and what you are, then finding a group has even become easier there is a site that lists the groups from state to state.

Now days you can find articles on every topic for scening the basics for D/s or M/s but there still isn't much to help us grow in the D/s or M/s relationships of today. The lifestyle of today has its good points and bad points just as the lifestyle of the old days has it good and bad points.

So what do you feel are the good points and bad points of each the old and the new?
Lets get it going every one.

The good part is definitely the amount of information that's available for anyone and everyone to read.  The bad part about that is there ends up being a lot of misinformation out there as well.

Each day is one day closer to being where I truly need to be.  I never realized until this very moment, how true that statement is (5/6/09)
