I've never had an energy drink before, so I'm going to answer based on what I've heard about them.

The Good - gives you a little boost when you're starting to fade.

The Bad - they are usually loaded with sugar!

The Ugly - the crash after it wears off - I've heard it is worse than the original sleepiness.

The Good - Awesome fights, amazing casts and some of the funniest moments you'll ever see.

The Bad - Too much fan service (as in focusing on only sexual innuendos at the cost of plot and character development)

The Ugly - When plots go South and make no sense whatsoever...or turn into too many filler episodes (episodes not based on the main source like the manga that are not considering part of the plot and don't count to character development)
