Carnevale di Masque contest
« on: January 02, 2014, 09:42:51 PM »

THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED

This year, the theme for Carnevale di Venezia is: WONDER AND FANTASY NATURE: A FAIRY-TALE CARNIVAL - THE FANTASY FOREST ~ A fairy-tale and fantasy Carnival. A Carnival of fantasy and nature.

Every year, The Masque and The WIKTT Archives host a festival to celebrate Carnevale and Mardi Gras. This Carnevale di Masque's contest theme is The Masquerade! Attend a masquerade fancy dress ball in New Orleans, slip through Piazza San Marco wearing a bauta or moretta, dance through the Brazilian rainforest with masked fairies, or titillate your lover with a costume in your very own home.

This year, we offer two prizes: One for a story and one for artwork. Stories and artwork are due on Mardi Gras, March 4, 2014. Artwork should be max 1048KB with a maximum width or height of 2048 pixels. Stories have a maximum of 15K words.

Your prize is: a handmade mask by Goddess Masks in any color and style requested by the winners*.

As always, voting will be blind, so stories and artwork will be submitted for posting on TheMasque.net via email to cis {at} themasque {dot} net. She'll get them posted anonymously on TheMasque.net as they come in, as well as keeping track of who created what. This contest is open for short stories and artwork only, and may be either fanwork or general with any theme, any fandom, and in any genre. All authors and characters in sexual situations must be over 18. Please do not post your stories or artwork elsewhere until the contest has been voted on to keep it fair and anonymous. You may submit more than one piece to the contest. There is no word-count minimum.
