Being Dominant represents many meanings for me:
1. Leader - The responsibility to guide down a path that will benefit not just submissive but for the Dominant too where both go down the path together as one journey.
2. Caregiver - it is important to offer support and nurture to help submissive be a great version of themselves. A Dominant should not do a total makeover a submissive but enhance and improve on the qualities and help their submissive see when certain choices may not be a wise one.
3. Sounding board - sometimes nothing needs extra done for your submissive but a willing and purposeful listener with a simple hug of support
4. Role model - Try to avoid the "Do as I say, not as I do" phrase. It is important to follow the same care, nurture, and advice you would dispense to or may mandate for your submissive. It can cause a contradictory emotional struggle for your submissive
5. Mutuality - Remember, it is not about you. It is about your submissive too. It takes both to be honest, trustworthy, and open communication to allow the relationship to deepen and bloom despite any turmoil that may enter the relationship. This foundation will aide in enduring rough times and appreciate the survival after it to enjoy the fantastic times.
