arms SS. need I say more?

explanation: this fic would probably been set during the war. Harry and Ron
fight together during the war, Harry tries to protect Ron but fails miserably.
as he comes home, more dead then alive, he has to tell Hermione her fiancé
died in a fight with Death Eaters. Hermione (yeah yeah yeah) has a nervous
breakdown and finds a friend in the less likely person... (*dum dum dum*)
Severus Snape. will friendship grow out to be more? will Hermione forget (or
at least get over) lil dead Ron and go for Sev? your choice...

this idea was playing around in my head for some time now (damn those bunnies!
*shakes fist at happily jumping bunnie*), but the problem is... it won't leave
me alone and I have no idea how to work the idea out... -_- yes yes yes, I
know, call me crazy, I am, trust me. so if anyone wants to 'addopt' my dear
child... (*cough.embryo.cough*) just do! please sent me a mail if u use it...
I wanna read =P it's sad to see your child being raised by others... hmmn

hey, this little plotbunny has been hopping around in my brain for weeks, and tormenting the spider who powers my brain, so I'm putting said bunny up for adoption. anyone want it?


** Hermione and Professor Snape must be found in the potions classroom cuddled up together by Harry or Draco, and they must be small children, around 4 or so, no older than 6, due to some sort of potions accident. No memories about who they are, other than what they knew at that age.
** Accident can be anything from Peeves sabotaging something, unexpected reaction/ explosion, testing/ looking for a cure to a potion Neville made, some sort of attack, or corrupted ingredients, you can use one of these or make up your own.< I really like the Neville idea, testing an unknown potion he somehow managed to make....>
** There can be no immediate cure, as this has never occurred before, and no one is sure what exactly happened.
** Young Hermione and Severus must refuse to be separated for longer than a few minutes<cause they are bestest friends and it makes things difficult for everyone else, which is always a bonus.> without a disaster, probably initiated by one of them.
** 'Mione and Severus must stay close friends, maybe more when they are changed back <if they are changed back at all, you could just let them grow up, i suppose...> and retain all memories of being children again.

Hermione's Baby

This particular plot bunny has been nipping at my heels for quite some time now and after two tries to get it off of me; I still can’t seem to care for it properly. 
So, I offer her to you; please take care of her, as she is one of my favorite bunnies.

Hermione and Severus once had a ‘relationship.’ 
What this ‘relationship’ consisted of it up to you, it could be a one-night-stand after completing a complex potion, or it could be a long, romantic partnership. 
Your choice.  But whatever the case, they’re not together now, and Hermione was the one who did the leaving. 
This is very important.  I don’t know why, but the bunny just says.  After breaking up, Hermione doesn’t see Severus again. 
Then she finds out she’s pregnant. 
She gives the baby to Harry and Ginny, who are married and want a baby (so they probably should have been married for a while; I would recommend this take place several years after graduation). 
Where Ron is, you get to decide.  After giving her baby up, Hermione leaves Britain.

Now, it is eleven or more years after their breakup, and Hermione is coming back to teach at Hogwarts, alongside Harry, who is DADA Professor. 
Hermione’s life has been materially fulfilled up to this point, but something was always missing from her soul. 
Harry and Ginny inform their child (really Hermione’s child) that Hermione is her biological mother (or she could already know, it’s up to you), but don’t tell her who her father is.

Hermione comes to Hogwarts and is faced with her child asking who his or her father is. 
Hermione eventually tells the child (who is on the verge of entering Hogwarts) and then the story of their relationship; make this as fluffy or angsty as you want, but please make it interesting. 
Create a story about it. 
Once Hermione’s child knows who his or her father is, Hermione doesn’t feel right about Severus still not knowing, so she goes and tells him.  How he reacts is up to you. 
I think awe would be a good reaction.  And maybe a healthy dose of denial.

Anyway, everyone is struggling to understand everything, Ginny is upset because she thinks she’s losing her daughter, Hermione is upset because of all the volatile emotions flying around, Severus is upset because he’s been lied to for several years (the child might be, too) and Harry is upset because . . . well, Ginny is upset. 
It is in this atmosphere of positive energy that Ginny finds out she’s pregnant with twins. 
A girl and a boy, but she doesn’t know the sex of the babies yet.

Once the school year finally starts, the Potters and Co. develop a routine and schedule and everything sort of starts getting easier. 
Hermione’s child must learn to deal with the fact that she has two sets of parents who love her, but she must choose which one she is going to call Mum and Dad and live with and such. 
(I would go for Harry and Ginny, but that’s just me.) 
Meanwhile, Hermione and Severus realize they have growing feelings for each other, but neither wants to act on it. 
So the child (or someone else if you make the child a boy, because I don’t know that a boy would really do this, but it’s your choice) locks them in a room together. 
They can’t get out using magic or force, so they are stuck until someone decides to let them out, which only the one who locked them in can do.  Hermione and Severus realize that they care about each other and form a romantic relationship. 

Where you take it from here is up to you, but please make the fic have an epilogue that ties up all loose ends and tells you what happens several years in the future. 
A good place for this to happen could be at the child’s sixteenth, thirteenth, eighteenth birthday. 
Please make Hermione and Severus have another child (or maybe two), but you don’t have to.

They do not need to look like the tin man or the scarecrow etc...only taking their
places and looking for those specific

This little bunny came to me while in that lovely state between sleep and wake
 last night.  Even though I am no writer ( Although I do enjoy reading a good
 fanfiction), I could never do this bunny justice...so I pass it on to someone
 who is interested...


It begins 11 years post graduation.  The 'Marriage Law' has increased the
 numbers of new students starting at Hogworts and Hermione is hired to teach
 first year potions.  She is alone in her potions lab either preparing a potion
 for class or researching something of her own when either accidentally the
 potion spills ( mixing with another compound ), or explodes, causing hazardous
 fumes to fill the room.  Her lungs fill, causing lung damage ( collapsed
 lung..something like this) and she dies. 


In the post death state, she comes across Ron ( who obviously has passed on,
 either final battle, or auror work related), and he tells her that she needs
 to go back.  She is given a job to do and has six months to set her affairs in
 order and complete her task.  Her job - to help bring Severus Snape out of his
 depression and help him to become the man he once was.  He of course still has
 to be 'snarky snape', but since the war concluded, he has retreated within
 himself, and makes no effort to improve his life, yada yada yada.


Hermione returns to her current form and wakes, finding that she is in the
 infirmary and Madam Pomfrey is standing over her.  She is told that she wasn't
 found for a period of time and that she has some scaring in her lungs, which
 magic can't seem to fix, but they can only help with certain potions.


She sets to task.... makes friends with Snape ( with A LOT of effort on her
 part) and tries her best to show him what life has to offer.  Tries to set him
 up with one of the newer teachers who is closer to her age...and whatever else
 you can come up with

As the six month time period gets closer, Hermione becomes sicker and
 sicker..finding it more difficult to breath and one day ends up again in the
 infirmary ( perhaps passing out in the presence of Snape, who then takes her
 there and sits by her bedside), knowing this is the end, he keeps her company,
 just sitting with her. 

She makes some comment that she is tired, and he tells her to rest and that he
 will be here when she wakes up.  She closes her eyes, he looks out the window,
 only to hear her breath in several long deep 'normal' breaths, and then she it
 stops.  He looks at her for a few minutes, no emotion.  Gets up from his
 chair...walks to her bedside, leans over, kisses her forehead and says, ' I
 love you Granger' and turns to leave. ( There is no indication that he has
 these feelings before now, or at least there Hermione doesn't know this.  She
 may find herself having feelings, but tries her best to hold them back,
 knowing that her death will happen.)

Now, my little mind has come up with 2 endings to this story...either one ( or
 hell, even use one of your own), is useable. 


#1 - Snape moves on, and it ends with him heading to ask the 'new' teacher out
 for coffee, etc.


#2 - When Hermione dies, Ron is there to meet her, and they witness this
 exchange.  Ron can tell that she was falling in love with him, and sends her
 back.  As Snape is walking at the end of the bed, Hermione opens her eyes and,
 well...' Happy Ever After', and Ron smiles down on them.

PB-Big Noses (Cyrano de Bergerac)
A Cyrano de Bergerac SSHG fanfic

I have batted this particular idea in my head for some time, as I see a the issues and themes in Cyrano
that could create a well-developed Severus and Hermione fic.
Hopefully any writer who would want to pick this endeavor would know the story, but if you do not, then let me give a quick summary:
Cyrano de Beregerac is a swordsman and quick wit who falls in love with the smart and beautiful Roxanne (who just happens to be his cousin).
Also in love with her is a young noble named Christian, which Cyrano discovers Roxanne believes to be in love with.
He represses his own love and helps Christian woo Roxanne by using his gift of eloquency and often wooed her in Christian's stead. 
Roxanne thinking Christian spoke the sweet words, marries Christian, but both men are sent to war,
 with Roxanne extracts a promise from Cyrano that he will protect and watch over Christian. Cyrano, while encamped, writes Roxanne under
Christian's name, and she desperately wants to see Christian.
Meanwhile, Christian realizes that Cyrano is also in love with his Roxanne and when she arrives at the front,
demands that Cyrano declare his feelings so she can choose.
Unfortunately before this occurs, shots ringout and Christian is killed. Cyrano knows this is not the time to declare himself,
 and so Roxanne is then sent to a convent while Cyrano continues to battle.
After surviving the war, he visits Roxanne often at the convent, and after a major scuffle with one of his enemies,
he drags his dying body to the convent, where Roxanne realizes that is was Cyrano who wrote her the beautiful letters,
 only after he recites the content. He dies soon after.

While this is a tragic story, I can see a great potential for Severus and Hermione, if anyone dares to try it.
 I think it would also be important as to whom should portray Christian
(I would not recommend Ron or Neville. Harry or Draco would make good Christians, but that is to your discretion).
Anyway, this is my plot bunny, and I hope it finds a home here in WIKTTland.

This is my first post. I've been reading SS/HG stories for about two months now and was listening to a song on my computer yesterday and all I could see was Severus about to marry Hermione, thinking the words of the song, which are absolutely perfect in so many ways.

Basically I see him thinking about his new life with her and how it's so diffreent from his last attempt.

I can't think how to put imagery to it, so I was hoping someone out there could instead!

Okay guys,

I have this huge plot bunny nibbling at my toes, and I can't get if off. I just don't have the time to write this story (because it could get very long), so I thought maybe one of you wanted to adopt it…

So, here it is (or at least part of it; wouldn't want to spoil the whole story):

Let's assume Severus Snape is not an only child, but has a sister (she has to be younger than him). She can be a half-sister, or a step-sister, or even an illegal child to one of his parents, but they have to have been brought up together.

When his sister comes to teach at Hogwarts (Sev of course knew nothing about it or he would have refused to accept it – Albus is a wise man, I can tell you!), he isn't exactly happy about it. Their attitude towards each other is rather cold (on both sides) and as they are much alike, they argue a lot.

His sister doesn't use her maiden name, so no one brings her in relation to Snape, so people may think there's something like an ugly break-up in their past. But there are only few people who know the truth (and, yes, we all know that Dumbledore knows!).

A lot of strange things happen (with the Dream Team, but the Malfoys have a role to play and one of the Marauders is directly involved, too).

All in all, I'd say "great story". Only I can't write it due to too much work (at university, on my other fics, and not to forget there's the little factor of life itself and how to earn your living…), so anyone who wants to know more and probably adopt my plot bunny, email me (totallycrazyde@yahoo.de) for further details (I won't post them in the open because it would give away too much and spoil the story before it even started).

But I can tell you to expect some nasty revelations and a few twists and turns.

About a month ago, while moving my mom, I had one of those odd, stress-induced dreams that was a really weird HG/SS story. I had the presence of mind to actually write most of the details down, but no patience or time to actually write the story.

Hermione Granger is a contemporary of Lily Evans and the Marauders. She is the Potions Mistress of Hogwarts and the Headmistress of Slytherin House. She has been all but blacklisted by her old friends with the exception of Remus Lupin.

"The Marauders", while initially were just a few Gryffindors in school, became the name of "Strike Force" of the Order of the Phoenix who did all the Really Dirty Work (assassinations, bombings, you name it) against the Death Eaters. It was a very ugly time, much more so than in canon. Hermione was a Marauder from the beginning, bringing her expertise in potions and tactical planning.

Hermione was a warrior on the forefront with the rest, having figured out how to create truly enchanted weapons cued in to it's owner's strengths. She has a lovely broadsword that rips out a victim's magical essence. Yes, Dark Magic. Very, very Dark Magic. Every Marauder has their own, individual weapon that they carry on their person, and can only be used by them. The weapon disappears from existence when it's owner dies. Each weapon can only be used by it's owner.

Inspired by her own weapon's ability, Hermione created a potion to do the same. The tricky part was to get Voldemort to ingest it. Lucius volunteered to doctor Voldemort's drink.

Lucius turned against Voldemort when Voldemort required each and every one of his followers to make a "Binding Sacrifice" to him. Namely, their first-borns were to be the blood sacrifice to grant them more power (well, to Voldemort, anyway). Lucius couldn't bear the thought of sacrificing his infant son, Draco, and sought out Dumbledore for help. Lucius became the spy and a Marauder-in-Training. However, there were others in the Death Eaters who were more than happy to toss in their Firstborns.

Silas Snape was put on a hit list, as little Severus was reported to be among several to be sacrificed on Samhain. Silas was a jealous, power-hungry sadist who was also Voldemort's right hand man, alongside Lucius. Being the younger brother, Silas "lost out" on the Snape fortune and title to his elder brother Samuel. Voldemort and the Death Eaters was his way to "beat out" his brother.

Samuel was a scholar and a brilliant researcher in Archaic Potions, not to mention hopelessly clueless when it came to social relations. Which is why he remained a bachelor for so long. He married Silas' widow and adopted her young son (his nephew) as his own.

Samhain was a total clusterfuck on both sides. In a nutshell (and in no particular order): Hermione killed Silas Snape before Severus was sacrificed. Lucius was forced to drink the tampered potion to "prove his loyalty to the Dark Lord", thereby losing his magic forever (but he kept his son!). The Potters were killed and Voldemort was dispatched by Baby Harry. Sirius Black killed the LeStranges. Sirius was rendered insane by multiple Cruciatus from Peter Pettigrew and other Death Eaters. Peter Pettigrew died by Remus Lupin's hands. No wand, no weapon needed. Children that were sacrificed: Pansy, Vincent Crabbe, and Victor Krumm. Yes, Gregory Goyle is alive and well. What? You think all the Slytherin kids were killed off? Not a chance.

After the war, many in the community and the Ministry called for Slytherin House to be done away with, to "eliminate a sinister influence on the children of Hogwarts". After all, many Death Eaters, including the Dark Lord himself had come from said house. Hermione Granger loudly protested the very idea, citing all the non-Slytherins in the Dark Lords employ, and the many Slytherins who fought against him. In the end, Slytherin House was allowed to stay, under strict scrutiny. However, no one wanted to be it's Head of House. Hermione took the position, as well as Potions Mistress. She is still searching for a cure to the potion she created that stripped Lucius Malfoy of his magic. For all her loyalty, she is shunned for her choices and blacklisted from most of the community. Many in the Order and in the Marauders view her stand with the Slytherin children as the act of a traitor. Remus stands with Hermione, believing that the future is with the children. Oh, and that more than likely, Voldemort isn't dead. No body, no death. Paranoia does a Marauder good.

20 years later:

Dumbledore and the rest of Hogwarts have remained mostly unchanged.

Severus Snape is a contemporary of Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter. His father was killed in the war, but has a kindly new father/Stepfather (who happens to be his uncle!). He likes books, potions, and researching with his father. He is socially awkward and shy, but a likeable kid. Tall and gangly, prone to daydreaming and wandering off. He mutters to himself a lot.

Lucius Malfoy was the "traitor" against Voldemort, and for it he had his magic ability stripped from him, leaving him virtually a squib. He retains his lands, family, wealth and title (Lord Malfoy) for his efforts and sacrifices in the war. He has long since forgiven Hermione for the potion. Well, it wasn't meant for him in the first place, but he has everything at the end of the war save his magic. And she really has been working very hard at a cure, and Slytherin has been looking better than it has in years. At the hands of a repentant Gryffindor, none the less! But most of all, he has his son and wife alive and well.

Sirius Black has a room at St. Mungo's next to the Longbottoms.

And Harry Potter is still "The Boy Who Lived".

Hermione is not a "female Snape", but an older, wiser and jaded Hermione. She is very adept at wandless magic, rarely using her wand. It's an excellent reminder to students (and her Slytherins) how powerful and dangerous she can be. She is respected by the Slytherins (who actually resent having a Gryffindor for a Head of House, but given that it was her or no house, they adapt well to the circumstance.) She is fair in her discipline tactics; she'll award points when due to anyone, but will deduct points from anyone but Slytherins. They get detentions for "disrespecting and disgracing" their house. They always serve horrible detentions with their Head of House. She holds them to very high standards and makes sure each and every Slytherin knows why. They are to be above reproach, the very best their families can produce. Needless to say, Slytherin has held the House Cup for over 15 years running. Lucius and Minerva have observed how well Slytherin House has benefited from having a Lioness looking after them.

Hermione does not "flap about like a great bat", rather she slips in and around like a dark ghost, popping out of shadows and disappearing into them again. She does not raise her voice, a glance from her can silence a room. She learned to sneak about by hanging with the Marauders in school, then elevated it to an art (as they all did) while fighting the war. Remus is equally as swift and silent.

Hermione has no social life outside of the castle. And the odd call from Remus or Lucius now and then.

Draco is spoiled, but not quite a brat. He needs to be reminded every now and then that even though "She" took his fathers magic away, that it was really the Dark Lord who did it. And Draco still has both of his parents, alive and well. His wealth is icing on the cake. His friend Severus' father was killed in The War, as was many of his other friends' parents, sometimes both of them. He learns that even the great Harry Potter is an orphan from the war. He might turn out to be a decent kid after all.

The Weasleys are still all together, but Arthur has a little better pay for his work at the Ministry. He is, after all, one of the War Heroes. The Burrow is a little warmer in the winter and not so ready to topple over. He still collects electrical plugs and Molly still knits sweaters and cooks for an army. They're still the Weasleys.

Potions class (first 3 years) MWF, Mon Lecture, Wednesday Practical, Friday Quiz/ Test (depends on the potion). Hogwarts has the foremost Potions curriculum in Wizarding Europe, not to mention the highest testing scores. She is unbelievably stern in class, especially while brewing, and is not above making a student ill to maintain discipline. Hexes, aside from potions, are her specialty.

Contrary to popular belief, Hermione doesn't wear black. She wears a lovely deep forest green robes, with a striking ruby brooch at her throat. Her hair is still flyaway and bushy, except while brewing potions or supervising others brewing potions, then she pulls her hair back into a tight plait. She often offers hair ties or hair cuts to long-haired students.

And this is the year Harry Potter (and Draco and Ron and Severus et al) start school.

Plot Bunny - A very different Time-Turner fic - by Lara
We all know the story - Hermione travels to the past, and, while there, falls in love with Severus. That's usually the cue for her to return home. But not this time...

This bunny was inspired by a single post on the Prudence and Potions:

'I haven't however seen a fic where Hermione stays in the era she was sent to.
 And if this is so, Do you think the relationship between HG/SS would prevent
Sev from becoming a DE if they were together in Sev's Hogwarts era?'

That got me thinking about a very unusual AU:

"What would the Harry Potter books have been like if Hermione wasn't
Harry and Ron's classmate, but twenty years their senior - and probably a
teacher, at that?

And since she'd probably retain her memory, and would therefore know everything
that was to go on up to the point she had left, would she be able to keep
herself from interfering? Particularly with Harry's parents - would she warn
them that Pettigrew was a traitor, for Harry's sake, or would she allow them to
be sacrificed, for the sake of the wizarding world?

And you're right - what about Severus? Would he become a DE, or not? If he
didn't - and did not, subsequently, become a spy - how would Dumbledore's side
handle the lack of his information?

Would she ever tell him she was from the future? If she did, might she
encourage him to *become* a DE, then turn spy at the proper time?"

I would dearly love to write this, but I have far too much on my plate at the
moment - and an idea this good deserves to be developed! Only requirement -
make it SS/HG, of course;). And send me a mail if you write!

What if, all those years ago, Dumbledore had been unable to save Severus from Azkaban? What if he had spent more than sixteen years incarcerated in that horrible place? How would this change the course of events? Black escapes on schedule and then two years later when the Dark Lord frees his minions, Severus is left behind.

Would he then escape himself amidst the confusion, for revenge on all those who wronged him if nothing else? Or perhaps would Dumbledore send some one (or ones) to stage his own jail break? Maybe Hermione could be part of this team or perhaps be asked to aid him in some manner upon his return to Grimmuald Place.

This bunny is looking rather big, but is only half grown. (Or is that half-baked?) Anyone looking to adopt?
