Trapped Challenge!

 Thanks for visiting! Basically Snape and Hermione (and only Snape and Hermione) are trapped
in an uncertain place for an uncertain amount of time together, with each other, and cut off
from the rest of the schools population.

Suggestions (Not limited to) for trapped area.
~ Top floor of a tower ~ The Room of Requirement
~ The place under the trick stair ~ A room leading out of the library
~ A dungeon ~ Forbidden Forest.

Suggestions (Also not limited to) for time.
~ 5 hours ~ A day
~ A night ~ Whenever Harry and Ron decide to look for Hermione.

Please no stories with time periods larger than three days!

Some Rules.
If trapped in a small space it must be for no longer than one day.
Small spaces must be smaller than or equal to 5ft by 6ft. Small spaces include rooms
other than bathrooms and/or dungeons, side tunnels out of a secret passageways, any form of ceiling (roof, tower etc.) and any type of imprisonment facility.

The place doesn’t have to be in Hogwarts but must be somewhat easily accessible from Hogwarts.
E.G. Shrieking shack, Honeydukes passageway, Merman/maid hostage rehabilitation center
in the school lake.
The allowed things in a small room/space, table, chairs, books in a not so small space . . . go nuts!

It is your decision whether or not to bestow upon someone the knowledge of knowing where our dear heroes are. For example if Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle push Hermione into the trick stair and Snape comes and tries to get her out but is then pulled in himself while Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle
looked on they would realize where they had gone once they were deemed missing.

The way out must be an obvious thing Hermione and Severus should have tried but didn’t.
 
(last rule don’t worry) At the end of the fic they do not have to like each other just experience slightly more than mutual respect for their companion.

Other rules that are more guidelines than restriction (but will add to your score anyway)
Severus can not take excessive amounts of points from Gryfindor.
Space is so small that they are crushed together for a short period of time.
They have a conversation about a personal issue of your choice.
Dumbledore knows (eventually) and doesn’t care

Some quotes that would be nice and also add to your score
Any Shakespearean quotes that you decide to put in.
"But we went down! How could we end up here? We went down!"
"That Miss Granger is private." You may replace private with personal as scene dictates.
"In my spare time? What makes you think I have spare time?"

Proud Vs. Sexy

Challenge

Sometimes, when you have all the things you want or you are more powerful or richer or smarter than other people you feel yourself superior and look down on other people without realizing.

Imagine Hermione is powerful. She is the most intelligent witch who has ever attended Hogwarts or she can be rich but she is proud, very proud of herself especially when it comes to men. What do you think?

Rules
 
Hermione is proud.

-         Hermione can be still at school or graduated.

-         She is intelligent and/or well known.

-         Hermione is a pretty girl/woman but doesn’t like boys/men (not a lesbian). (As to why is depends on you)

-         Must contain a phrase “Boy/Man? What is good about them?”

Snape is sexy.

-         Snape is still a professor (potions).

-         He is sexy and wanted by most girls/women.

-         He knows about Hermione doesn’t like boys/men and her mocking about men/boys. (As to how is depends on you)

-         -         Snape is not very happy and wants to make Hermione sees what is good about man.

Bonus
 
- I would love to see Snape finds out that Hermione hates men/boys by hearing her argue with other women/girls who are talking about how good a man can be.

How would life be if there is no feeling at all? No love, no friendship, no caring, no pity, nothing except hatred and duties?

You have seen Snape as a cold, heartless man but have you ever seen Hermione that way?

 

Rules:

 

-         Post war or during the war, you choose, but Hermione must be in her seventh year.

-         A spell or a potion or whatever it is has caused Hermione to lose all the human feelings (love, friendship, caring, pity, etc. as said above) except hatred and duties (and/or stress, depend on you).

-         Hermione must have a major role in the war if Voldemort is not die yet.

-         Harry and Ron must try to help her to retrieve her feeling back but fail.

-         Snape has been appointed to help her or willing to help her (if willing, please give at least one reason).

-         Hermione must not want Snape to help her nor does she wants those feeling back (reasons to both points please) but she has to let him helps her (reasons, please).

-         Happy ending is preferable but not strictly necessary.

 

For Bonus:

-         Hermione uses the line: What is the point for getting that useless feeling back? (or something likes that)

                                   I don’t need his help!

Cod-piece challenge

This challenge is brought to you by Adora, because influenza1918 asked for it during WIKTT chat on August 7. Some parts of this challenge have come from the minds of Madeline, caeruleussum and one_demonicangel

Storyline: Snape can't dance, but he has to learn. Why he has to learn how to dance is your decision. Hermione has to be the dancing instructor.

Somewhere, somehow, a cod-piece has to show up. Extra points if it has a Rhinestone snake on it and pink ribbons.
Crookshanks has to feature.

A challenge! *cackles* This is going to be fun.

 

** Most Important! Thanks to Ibex’s Lyre for pointing out that I didn’t have a due date in the original upload of this challenge. The due date for (at least) the first chapter of this fic is Friday, October 4, 2002. Also, some people have emailed saying that they cannot see the quotes listed under Requirements. If you are having this problem, please email me (the address is provided at the bottom) and I’ll send you all the necessary information.

 

By the way, if you have already started on your response, don’t scan through now looking for added rules and requirements. Nothing’s changed except for the addition of the due date. ^_^

 

Rules!

For those of you who are up to the task, I propose that you write a fic that follows these guidelines:

 

1.)    The main couple will be, obviously, Severus and Hermione.

2.)    Ron/Fleur should NOT be featured (for some reason this ship annoys me…).

3.)    The characters should be mostly in canon. Changes in the personalities of Hermione, Harry, Ron, etc. will be allowed for their growing up. The teachers should stay relatively in canon.

4.)    You can decide whether Hermione & Co. is still at Hogwarts, or if this is a post-graduation thing.

5.)    The fic can be as long as you want and extra plot can be added after the completion of the requirements.

 

Requirements!

The basic plot should involve:

 

1.)    Hermione’s hair is as frizzy as ever, and she doesn’t have “the perfect body.” She’s physically a normal female.

2.)    Severus is NOT a spy. Voldemort knows that he’s deserted the Death Eaters.

3.)    Hermione, Severus, and some 3rd character of your choice gets quarantined or secluded somehow in some freezing deserted place like… Antarctica or Greenland? Wherever you decide, just remember to let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…

4.)    The method of transportation is up to you, but it must happen when Hermione is returning from Hogsmeade with some food/transfigurable items in her bag. Not too many of these items, though… Can’t make it too easy.

5.)    The third character disappears. S/He doesn’t necessarily have to die, but s/he must just disappear, leaving our lovely couple alone.

6.)    Severus doesn’t want to associate with Hermione any more than is necessary (the reason is up to you…), but a storm throws them together so that they have to survive using their… achem… body heat. Just remember to keep them in a reasonable version of canon here.

7.)    Hermione teaches Severus something (a spell or charm?) which earns his begrudged respect.

8.)    The line “A correct answer is like an affectionate kiss” should be said by Severus. (The quote comes from Goethe)

9.)    The line “It is in self-limitation that a master first shows himself” should be said by Hermione. (The quote is by Goethe, as well)

Bondage Challenge

Overall explanation:

Severus Snape, Hogwarts Potion Master, is tied up somewhere (Quidditch pitch, in the Great Hall, in the dungeons, in the forest, your choice)

 

Requirements:

Must be in the Dream Team’s seventh yeah.
Must include Hermione and Severus (DUH!)
Snape and Hermione is in a relationship (lovers, enemies, etc)
Hermione wants revenge (if they’re lovers then they can have had a fight and if enemies then because of i.e. bad grades).
At least ten people are on the pitch when Snape is found.
Harry has to be there when Snape is found and Snape will deduct points from him for no reason.
Hermione must have an internal conversation with herself about Snape.
Hermione has to knock Snape unconscious somehow, so that he won’t find out that she was the one who tied him up.
Required scenes:

Hermione yelling in the Gryffindor common room (why she is yelling is up to you).
Hermione trying her best not to cry in front of Snape, but can’t help letting a tear fall.
Snape deducting 20 points from Hermione in class because she was unable to shut up.
Required sentences:

"Miss Granger, why are you talking when I haven’t granted you permission?" – asks Snape.
"Potter, -- points from Gryffindor!" – Snape take points from Harry when he has been released from wherever he was tied up. Harry gets angry.
"You look like hell"
"I hate him, I hate him, I hate him!"
"Is that Snape?’’
"I’ll get back at you/him!’’
Bonus:

Dumbledore asking the students to tell Snape, if they find him, that he need a word. This can be over lunch, which Hermione isn’t attending because she’s in the library, and Harry and Ron can tell her afterwards. She gasps and hurries off to the place where she tied Snape up, but there are already people there.

Draco Malfoy being there when Snape is found.
Dumbledore thinking that the situation is hilarious. Serious, but hilarious.
Some student flying into the Great Hall, yelling that Snape has been found somewhere tied up. Ron and Harry will naturally hurry off to see him, along with a dozen other students.
Hermione being the one to untie Snape.
Hermione having a crush on him (if you’ve made them lovers then it’s quite obvious)
 

ENDING:

The ending is your own choice. Will she confess to Snape? Or maybe Dumbledore?

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. With that in mind (And a tip of the hat to Kate for the Unbelievable 100 Word Challenge). I would like to issue my own 100 word challenge. So, here it is:


The You’ve Got To Be Kidding 100 Word Challenge
 

1. It should be Severus Snape and Hermione Granger.

 

2. In 100 words, you should tell a story that logically ends with the words, “You’ve got to be kidding!”

 

3. Fluff, angst, romance, smut, whatever. You decide.

 

4. The challenge ends at midnight September 8th, 2004.

Love in four stages

Some people speak freely of “love at first sight”. Neither Severus Snape, Hogwarts’ cruel Potions Master nor Hermione Granger, resident know-it-all, believe in such a thing.

Point of the story: Your task is to make them fall in love GRADUALLY, with a growing certainty, moving from acquaintance (teacher/student relationship), to a bit of mutual (although not necessarily simultaneous) respect and admiration, and then to mutual trust, and finally, to love. These two characters must learn to love each other as the reader learns about the inner workings of their hearts and minds. The problem is that you won’t have all the time in the world, just 4 chapters (plus an optional epilogue) to put them together in a believable way.

REQUIREMENTS:
Each chapter originates from one episode involving both Snape and Hermione which has happened in canon (e.g. the Yule Ball), which could have happened in past books (e.g. a conversation at Grimmauld’s Place) or that we could see in future books (e.g. the Final Battle). So, as J.K. has stated that she hasn’t the intention of writing books about the future of our dear Dream Team, your fanfiction can’t portray a twenty-five-year-old Hermione, for example.
Each chapter can be any length you want.
Even though the fic must focus on the Hermione/Snape relationship, you can include other characters from J.K.’s rich universe.
Keep everything “in canon”, please: be realistic and faithful to J.K.’s work. If you want Snape and Hermione to develop a sexual relationship, I won’t stop you, but don’t transform two normal people (or wizards, in this case) in sex gods.
I’ll value descriptive and original responses, but use dialogue too.
You’ll get bonus if you include in your story:
Mentions of: The theft of Potions supplies in Hermione’s second year, Hermione setting Snape’s robes on fire in first year, the “insufferable know-it-all” remark, Hermione's enlarged teeth in fourth year, the Trio’s attack on Snape in the Shrieking Shack… The Room of Requirement, the Astronomy Tower. Snape’s past. Snape’s work for the Order.
The line: “I’m afraid of death”.
The idea of betrayal of some kind.
Avoid time-turners and unnecessary fluffiness.
Go for the Angst!

Saving Snape

In Hermione's 7th year, she is sent back into time to Snape's 7th year. While Dumbledore is looking for a way to send her back to her own time, she befriends and eventually falls in love with Snape. As a result of this friendship, Hermione is able to stop Snape from getting the Dark Mark.

**Requirements**
1) Be creative in your method of Hermione being sent back in time- No time turner accident- it's been done too many times.
2) Hermione falls in love with Snape first, but he rejects her, wanting to only stay friends.
3) Hermione can not tell Snape the future as a way to stop him from taking the Dark Mark.
4) You must show how this change effects the present day.
5) Have Fun!

1) Whatever genre/rating/length you choose.
2) How Hermione gets Snape to fall in love with her.
3) How Hermione stops him from getting the Dark Mark.

Adopt a Snape Challenge

 

Snape is an unregistered animagus.  Due to a magical accident, he becomes stuck in his animagus form and Hermione unknowingly adopts him.  During his stay as Hermione’s “pet” he develops a new appreciation for the “know-it-all”

 

Requirements (only one since I want to give as much freedom to the author as possible):

1.  Snape and Hermione are not a couple before this happens.

 

 

You decide:

1.  Snape’s animagus form

2.  Post or pre-graduation Hermione

3.  How long Snape remains in this situation and how his absence is dealt with.  Do they think he’s dead or turned traitor to the Order?  Perhaps its summer vacation and no one notices he’s missing?  Maybe Dumbledore knows all along and thinks this is great fun!

4.  How and when (if ever) Hermione discovers Snape’s identity

5.  What the final outcome is (romantic or not; although romantic is preferred!)

Everyone has a Phobia
Almost everyone in the world is afraid of something, whether it is spiders, heights, or inclosed spaces. What would happen if one of our lovely couple had a rather strange and overpowering fear? How would their partner react to their bizarre fear?

Requirements: Pre-existing SS/HG relationship. A really strange phobia, not just fear of spiders, something amusing like a fear of noodles or a fear of paint. If you can’t seem to find one try this website. PhobiaList - http://www.phobialist.com/reverse.html#A-

Bonus Points:
You use the technical name for the phobia.
A support group is formed.
The is an emotional public revelation of other peoples fears, Alcoholics Anonymous style, for example, “ My name is Harry” “Hi Harry” “And I’m afraid of the female genitalis”

Very simply, this is not meant to be serious, but you are welcome to make it such.

* He Has no memory of anything After his Seventeenth birthday
* He goes back to being a Hogwarts student whether you decide to re-sort him its up to you but everyone must know he is Snape.
* Hermione becomes interested in the younger Snape
* The potion can not be reversed for at least a year if ever.
* Albus Dumbledore MUST be against any relationship between HG/SS
* Harry and Ron totally freak at the relationship.
