The Crookshanks Connection Challenge Summary:The interesting activities of Crookshanks the Kneazle/Cat brings Hermione and Severus together. Ideas:In addition to the romance of HG/SS, use this challenge to explore the environment, Crookshanks, and new and interesting potions.  Feel free to invent new places at Hogwarts or other areas. I’ve seen so many great fanfics challenges, so I thought I’d add to them. I hope at least a few people respond, because I’m really interested to see what other WIKTT’ers views on this subject are.

Due Date: Sunday, September 14th

Pairing: SS/HG of course!

Basic Plot: Snape has an irrational fear that Hermione helps him to overcome, or at least cope with to some extent.

Conditions: (I’ll keep this brief; I want your responses to be as open and interesting as possible.)Snape MUST be in character. **Must Have**:[/size][/font][/size]- Severus Snape, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Ginny Weasley, Ernie MacMillan, Hannah Abbott, Terry Boot, and Padma Patil. (NOTE: most of these people are Prefects)[/size][/font][/size]- They are stuck together in a room through no fault of their own. They are locked in with magic, and cannot get out using magic OR Muggle means. (Suggestions: Harry and Ron could have done it, or Dumbledore, or anyone)
-The room contains a deck of cards, AND/OR a bottle, AND/OR several board games.
- At some point, Harry and Ron must come in and find everyone in some sort of game, preferably one that makes Ron sputter and Harry raise his eyebrows in incredulity. (Harry and Ron cannot be in the room for the game!!)
- The characters (above) must end up playing some sort of game (HINT HINT: Spin the Bottle, Twister, Strip Poker, or my favorite, since poker is hard to play, Strip Go Fish. You know, something of THIS sort would be really fun.)
- Should probably take place in Hermione's 7th year, but doesn't have to. Just get this straight - No non-consensual acts and no child porn!!! Preferably no explicit slash, either.

Getting to Know You

The ‘When H Met S’ Vignette Challenge

 

Premise:  Your story will be one of platonic friendship.  Their actual feelings may be whatever you wish, but they must end the challenge entry as friends.  If you must, you can of course continue the story, and if they end up in bed together shagging like rabbits and living happily ever after, no-one’s going to come to your house.

Your story will be told in a series of vignettes.  You must choose at least four of the eight listed below, and if you wish to add your own, you may do so.  The whole story arc (the Challenge portion anyway) must take place over at least three years.  Yes, years.   They may be shagging like rabbits somewhere in their shared future, but in this story they are a couple of tortoises.  When it comes to relationships, that is.

Hermione can be in school at the beginning, if you wish – but at least some of the story must take place after she leaves school.  Voldemort can be in the picture or gone, whichever works for you.

 

Scenarios:  Choose at least four.  You may use them in any order, but you must use the item and phrase included in the scenario.

Confessional.  SS & HG get together and share boy/girlfriend stories over wine/pot/dark chocolate/some hallucinogenic potion.  Your choice.
   Required item:  Underwear.
   Required phrase:  ‘And boy, was I sore the next day!’

Double-blind Date.  SS and HG each bring a friend to be the date to the other (as in that famous movie we won’t mention because we don’t do challenges based on movies).
   Required item:  The date Hermione brings for Snape must be a Mary-Sue!
   Required phrase:  ‘I didn’t know you were such a cute baby!’

Reunion.  Severus and Hermione run into each other at an Alumni meeting at Hogwarts.
   Required item:  An escaped beastie of Hagrid’s.
   Required phrase:  ‘Old age doesn’t necessarily mean wisdom.’

Christmas.  Our two favourite people bump into each other while Christmas shopping.  Their meeting turns into coffee.
   Required item:  a ‘mini’-sized parcel or bag.
   Required phrase:  ‘Did you reduce that, or is it really that small?’
     **Bonus:  if you mention Scrooge, Snoopy or the Grinch.

Muggle London.  Snape and Hermione make an excursion into Muggle London (featuring Hermione’s favourite movie?  Or maybe Severus’s?)
   Required item:  A hot dog.
   Required phrase:  ‘This is a seat belt, not a chastity belt!’

†Girls/Boys Night Out.  A stag/ette or bachelor/ette night, with either Snape or Granger.  Of course the other can appear…
   Required item:  A broken wand.
   Required phrase:  ‘Hmmm…I didn’t think that was edible!’

†Home Alone.  One of the two house-sits for the other.  (Does someone come a’knockin?)
   Required item:  A fuchsia-coloured lipstick.
   Required phrase:  ‘I bet not even Moody is that paranoid!’

Valentines.  One of our two like-birds sends a valentine and the other feels guilty because s/he forgot.
   Required item:  A handkerchief.
   Required phrase:  ‘A black rose seems a trifle incongruous, doesn’t it?’

[/color]The rules of the time loop are simple; until the person gets the day “right” they are stuck in the loop.  This extends to their mortality: they can die in any way imaginable and still come back to wake up in the time loop in the morning.  You can use any means to get them into the loop: curse/potion/spell/magical dancing penguin… it’s up to you.  There are also no cop-outs in the loop.  You may not use Dumbledore/a counter curse/antidote/etc. to get the character out of the loop.  Only getting the day right can stop the cycle.[/color]

Here's the general idea:
The 7^th year Gryffindor boys are discussing their recent sexual desires and conquests.  Hermione joins the conversation as she has always been considered one of the guys and not a real girl.  Everyone admits their most desired crush.  Hermione’s is Snape which all the guys think is disgusting and that he is way out of her league as she has only had one lover (your choice).  She says the same could be said for some of their choices.  Words are exchanged and then a challenge is issued for those not involved in committed relationships to bag their admired objects for the title of Gryffindor Stud and bragging rights of coarse!


CHALLENGE MUST HAVE:
#1 Hermione must use at least one corny pick up line (see below) on Snape (his reaction is your call)
#2 Hermione must win the title of Gryffindor Stud
