Whether you’re brand new to this BDSM thing, or a long time practitioner of the proverbial whips and chains, there’s probably been an occasion where you’ve used, felt, observed various items used in a scene.  What are some of your favorites?  What would you recommend to someone who has yet to taste the flavor of a scene?  Do you even choose to use an item, or do you prefer the mental control only?

There are so many toys available, how do you discern what to use?  How does one gain favor over another?  How do you test the waters to either know what your sub likes, or you like?  What materials deliver the best “bang for the buck”?  What items are not appropriate for a beginner, either for the one who wields or the one being wielded?  What are some of the things you choose to use for sensation, bondage, pain, and pushing limits?
