Somehow in my minds eye I don't see headdresses and builder costumes but you might.

A fairly simple bunny that's been lurking and shedding beneath my chair for some time now:

Hermione and Severus are stranded in Chelm.

For those of you unfamiliar with Chelm, it's the legendary Village of the Simpletons (to use the more polite term) of Jewish folklore, traditionally located in Poland. To give you an idea, here's one story, loosely paraphrased from memory:

The people of Chelm got into a debate over which was more important, the sun or the moon. Unable to come to any conclusion, they brought the matter to the wisest man in the village. After contemplating the matter for some moments, he answered: 'Why, the moon is the more important. What would we do without it? If the moon didn't shine at night, it would be too dark to see anything at all. The sun, on the other hand, shines only in the daytime, when it's light already. So who needs it?'


Just wanted to let you know that there is a town called Chelm in Poland. It's name means 'a helmet'.

All right, here's the basic idea: Snape gets pregnant with Hermione's child. Yes, pregnant with Hermione's child. I am sure hilarity will ensue, with lots of nasty jokes at Snape's expense. It's up to you to explain how this happened, and what's going to happen to the kid. And poor Snape and Hermione.

This has been hassling me for years, in one form or another. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been squeaking loudly enough to get itself written. This is what I translated of it:

- Snape has a summer job, acting in popular Hollywood movies (Think Alan Rickman.).
- Most of the muggle born students have seen his latest effort.
- Ravenclaw (change house at will, of course) has an Original Character of the student variety who’s a movie buff, with opinions about everything.
- This character collects magazines, posters, etc.
- Oscar time comes up, and Guess Who has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor. O.C.’s movie stuff includes a photo of Snape, accompanying the news for that Oscar nomination.

Go to it, please! I’d love to see it written. One day.

There is romance in the air between professor Snape and Hermione Granger after she leaves school but can Hermione overcome her silly little schoolgirl persona?

The war is over and so are the golden trio's schooldays at Hogwarts. This can be immediately after their schooldays or some years down the road.

 

Hermione has suffered from a long crush on her potion's professor and feels finally free to pursue him without violating her ethics and school rules. Unfortunately she cannot seem to snap out of her schoolgirl demeanor in the presence of Severus Snape and every time she meets him she strengthens his 'silly little girl' impression.

 

Hermione should have frequent accidental fall backs such as hand raisings, answering with 'yes sir' and calling him professor Snape.

 

She should have a personal mantra: "I'm not a silly little schoolgirl anymore!" or something of the sort.

 

Snape may like her in her little schoolgirl impersonation or he can try to get her past it so they could have a more mature relationship, that's up to you, but Hermione will always have moments where she forget herself and acts like she's still in class.

The Weakest Link - HP Meets Anne. British writers may have more of an Idea of how this might go.

The Weakest Link - Plot Bunny.

An Idea came to me - Could some one make a story around the HP characters and put them on the Weakest link
TV programme? But naturally in the end it ends up SS/HG ? It would be funny to read something like this but
I dont have the time to type one so heres my plot bunny!

:(For the people who do not know what 'The Weakest Link' is.) 'The Weakest Link' is a sort of quiz show on
the BBC (British broadcasting corp.) With Anne Robinson as the presenter ( Insults mostly everyone who
comes on the show, its kind of funny what she comes up with, and insults their intellect. She's small and always
wears black on the show - this is where the Idea came to me - odd isnt it?)
There are 12 contestants who are in it to win the prize money but they have to work together to get as many
right answers as they can and 'bank' to keep the money in the prize funds.
The presenter goes around the group one at a time and asks each a question until the time runs out (I'll tell you
the time and money details later) Then at the end of a round the team are asked to write down on a board they have
so no one else can see until their told to turn it, the name of the person who they believed was the weakest link during
that round (Some people in it are spiteful and just write the name of the person they dont like or think will win or had
voted for them last round.) the person with the most votes has to leave and it continues on like that until there are two
left. When those two play the amount they get gets tripled and added to the final funds then they go head to head to answer
5 questions and when its plan to see who's the winner the games over but if its a tie they go to 'sudden death' so who evers
the first get the wrong answer loses.

During each round when a question is answerd correctly the money bar goes up (I'll tell whats on the money bar in a minute)
and at any time some one can say 'Bank' and the money thats been collected goes straight into the funds and stays there. But
if someone gets a wrong answer in a chain of right answers they lose all the money collect (except for the prize funds)

Details:

* Right well the money bar goes up and starts at £20 then moves up to 50, 100, 200, 300, 450, 600, 800 then 1000 (if they get
 everything right up to 1000 and bank the rounds over.) You might want to change to Wizarding money tho.

* The time starts at 3 minutes and each round 10 seconds gets taken off the clock ( but in the head to head and 'sudden death' there
 isnt any time limit.)

* Inbetween each round - before someone get told 'you are the weakest link goodbye' and walks off, Anne will pick people out and ask them
what they do and insult them, their jobs, their hair, looks, style etc.) we know the peoples jobs and where they come rom cause at the
 start of the game they need to tell the 'audiance' who they are, what they do and where they live. (that could be fun)

*Ok you can have 12 (or 13 -depending on if you want to keep Anne as the Presenter - I dunno you might want to switch her with
Snape (they're slightly alike - both enjoy insulting and getting people worked up) I was thinking Dumbledore, McGonagall, Harry, Hermione,
Ron, Snape, Lupin (Or Black) Voldemort, Lucius, Draco, Bellatrix and Neville.

 * I dont know how you would twist it to become SS/HG fic but thats the CHALLANGING part of it!!
I was thinking that they make it to the end and it was 'sudden death' and Snape freaks out ( Come on he hasnt heard of tv shows and'Sudden Death'
Not meaning it in the literal sense of the word.) I dont know Use your imaginations! Type their thoughts and argues between each other (the contestants
do have a go at each other aswell) Some one could try to Avada Anne or someone else (She could have clones!!)

*Remember Anne insults EVERYONE and this is a Humour/ comedy fic/plot bunny - HAVE FUN!

I am not very creative when it comes to writing fan fiction, but this idea has been haunting me. I am hoping a talented writer will like it and have some ideas to create it into a story. I would love to read it. I would love to see how Draco relates to a muggle female.


Synopsis:

An American muggle family has disappeared while on vacation in Britain. The FBI are investigating, and the search leads one muggle female agent to Voldemorts doorstep, so to speak.

A Snape.Hermione Switch
Hermione and Snape switch positions - Master becomes student, student becomes Mistress.

Here is a plot bunny I would dearly LOVE to be able to write, but lack the talent.

Simply, Hermione and Snape switch places. Hermione is a Potions teacher, and Severus is her student. And, of course, it is a SS/HG 'ship. Anything else is up to the author, but here are a few ideas if anyone wants anything more to go on:

- They have switched because of a spell - maybe they look the same, but their minds have been switched (This one could be funny, Snape trying to play up the know-it-all attitude, Hermione trying to instill fear into her charges.)
- It is AU, Hermione and Snape have literally switched. She is Potions Mistress, and has been for however long Snape was in the books. Severus is in Harry and Ron's year of Hogwarts. Hermione can be like the original Hermione, or she can be snarky and glowering, like Snape, and vice versa.

Here is an idea I love because I am a huge fan of both HG/SS fic and of SS/RL slash.  I
am an avid fanfic reader but don’t have the time, energy or interest in becoming a writer.
 However, if someone wants to take a stab at this one I would jump at the chance to Beta!

Because the wizarding population is dwindling at an alarming rate, a marriage law is
 passed that requires all single wizards of childbearing age to marry and procreate.

HG and SS end up married because it is better than the alternatives for both of them. 
(Author needs to come up with a plausible scenario for why they end up with each other and not someone else.)

They must consummate the marriage and although both are kind and respectful to each
other, there are no fireworks.  They must also continue to have sex on occasion because
 of the constant pressure for the ministry to have children.  The sex is awkward at best.

Over time, HG and SS become close and come to love and cherish each other as friends if
not lovers.  They have lots in common and truly enjoy each other’s company (when they
are not trying to have sex).  As HG gets to know Snape, she gets increasingly curious
about why he is so guarded about his love life and past relationships.  He finally admits
he loved someone once.  She initially assumes it was Lily.  But over the course of the
story she finds out that while Snape truly did love Lily, it was only as a very close friend.
 In fact, although SS has had other close friends since then (Dumbledore, McGonagall for
example) Lily was the only friend ever knew all of his secrets and she took those with her
to the grave.

Finally, after lots of observation and research, HG realizes the truth --that Snape is gay
and that the “love” he spoke of is Remus Lupin. 

For over 25 years now he has closeted this side of himself and has a done a very good job
of doing so.  The story should include examples of why and how he managed to fool
everyone, including Dumbledore, Lucius Malfoy and Voldemort.

Snape had been friends with Lupin while they were students and had sensed that there
may have been the start of something more.  He had just began to open his heart to
Remus when the infamous prank at the shrieking shack happened.  Snape thought Remus
betrayed him and was heartbroken.  He decided after that he would never let him love
someone ever again.  The author must decide if Remus ever knew about Severus’
feelings for him or not.

RL is now married to Tonks.  Hermione is friends with both of them. (Lupin could be gay
or bisexual --bi might be more interesting…)

Hermione becomes intent on helping Snape find happiness and love even if she and
Snape have to stay married on paper.   

Both Snape and Hermione need to end up finding their true love.  They must find a way
to work around the the marriage law so that they can be with their respective lovers.

Throughout the story Snape must be in character.  He remains a snarky, sarcastic bastard
who happens to be tremendously intelligent and witty.  Hermione catches glimpses of a
more quiet, gentle and vulnerable side of him but just because he is gay doesn’t mean his
character would now be sappy, sentimental --or even nice.

The author must decide on:
   A love interest for Hermione
   Whether or not HG/SS and/or RL/NT succeed and conceiving.  If SS/RL
   end up together and there is a baby involved it could get interesting….
   Whether or not RL/NT are in the same sort of situation as HG/SS are with
   the marriage law or if the RL/NT relationship is based on mutual
   love/attraction

Here is small snippet of dialogue I pictured when Hermione finally realizes the truth and
confronts Snape:

“You’re gay,” she said.   There was no judgement in her tone.  But it had the same
certainty as if she was telling him he had a big nose.

Snape turned to her, his face expressionless other than the slightest hint of a smirk
on his lips.

“Very good, Granger.  Although I admit I’m a bit disappointed. I would have
thought with all of your supposed intelligence that you would have guessed that
sooner.”

She opened her mouth as if to protest and he cut her off, his trademark sneer
spreading across his face.

“I would have thought my performance in the bedroom would have been your
first clue.”  Although his sarcastic delivery was intact, she detected the self-
deprication underneath that statement. 

She knew him well enough now to know his drill.  She wouldn’t let his snarky
attitude push her away this time.

He stared at her, daring her to make another comment about the subject.  She held
his gaze, refusing to back down.

“You’re in love with Remus Lupin.”

And with that one statement, his whole demeanor changed.  All confidence
evaporated and a look of panic came over his face.  It wasn’t until he heard those
words come out of her mouth that he was forced to look at what he had been
trying to deny for years.  Shit.

He stepped back and sank into the chair in silence covering his face with his
hands. 

“Severus.”  She moved across the room until she was standing in front of him and
gently placed her hand on his shoulder.  “It’s okay.”

She heard him snort as he tried half-heartedly to pull away.

“It’s okay.”

She heard him release a breath he had been holding as she moved to gently sit
next to him and wrap her arms around him. After a few moments of silence during
which he seemed to forget to breathe she felt him gasp and begin to shake as she
heard a loud sob escape his lips, countless years of surpressed emotions finally
coming to the surface……

Sixteen Again!
Snape has a nasty encounter with a potion that makes him young -- a strange brew with no known antidote!

I started writing this one, and I just couldn't get anywhere with it. The idea is that Snape winds up disguised as a student at Hogwarts while he and Dumbledore try to find an antidote to the potion of youth he has ingested. Blah, blah, falls in love with Hermione, who comes up with the antidote, because she's just smart and lucky like that.

Avalon
Time is stopped by the all powerful Goddes, so the most powerful witches and wizards can be sent to Avalon to be taught in the ways of battle... and love.

The mythical school on the Isle of Avalon is reopened by the Goddess of all. She puts time to a halt before the final battle, and wisks Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Severus, Draco and several other beloved characters away to Avalon to be trained for battle, and for life in the aftermath. They're kept there for a year, in which they are prepared, and some fall in love.

   I have been recently been contemplating the idea of how to
introduce a little more realism into my fanfictions. I think this
can be accomplished by weaving a little bit of real history into
my stories, which relates more to other genres of fanfiction than
HG/SS, I'm sorry to say. Still, one idea did inspire me, especially
 after recently re-reading The Twenty.

   In many fairy tales there is a common theme: that of the
beautiful princess who hides her face from the world so that she
can find love (usually with a prince) through her personality rather
 than her astonishingly good looks. I don't know if you've ever heard
 the Chinese fairy tale about the girl with the bowl on her head...
 (her dying mother asks her to wear a large bowl over her head to
hide her face at all times, so she is mocked by everyone until a great
 lord hires her. They fall in love and she tries to remove the bowl,
but it is stuck. He agrees to marry her with the bowl and during the
 ceremony it breaks in two, turning into gold for her dowry.) There's
 another about a girl who runs away from the incestuous marriage her
 father plans for her. (She takes three beautiful dresses that can be
 folded up into walnuts and a coat made of the fur of every animal in
 the world. She is hired to work in the kitchen of the palace, but
keeps herself dirty and wears the fur coat everywhere to disguise her
 beauty. Then the prince throws a three-day ball, so she dresses up in
 one of the dresses each night and the Prince falls for her. He slips
a gold ring onto her hand the last day and when he spies it on her hand
 as he goes to the kitchen, he confronts her and proposes)

The Helen Plot Bunny

I'm sure you notice the common theme, which would work well in a
Hermione/Severus fanfiction. The basic idea came to me when I was
thinking about the story of Helen of Troy. What if her beauty was not
 something natural, but a curse? A powerful wizarding curse that brought
 nothing but misery to the girl who obtained the unnatural beauty and
the only way it could be broken would be for someone to fall in love
with her and not her looks. Naturally Hermione would be cursed somehow,
and figure out the details of it. She would be smart enough to see the
 consequences of the spell, that her beauty had the power to tear the
world apart, because any man who saw her would be compelled to possess
 her. (hopefully willingly) She would probably have to go veiled where
 ever she went, which would give rise to rumors that the curse had
destroyed her face rather than amplified her beauty. She would wind up
 with Snape somehow, there are thousands of plot devices, and he'd fall
 for her while a few others accidentally glimpsed her to add some angst.
 Eventually the curse would be lifted, but not before she used it to
some advantage. Meanwhile the war would be going on the whole time, so
that would add extra dimension to the love story.

It's raining outside right now and I got this idea that has much to do with the current weather.

I have written the first paragraph but I'm not much of a NC17 writer so I thought that it might be better to leave the rest to someone who knows what they write about. It is up to you if you leave it as it is or modify it slightly or create your own description of a summer storm.
What actually happens is yours to decide just remember it should be summer and the day should finish with a storm.
First paragraph:
Summer storms have their own unique properties. One can tell there’s one coming by midday heat. As opposed to those days when the warmth is welcoming, the summer storm lunchtime is not bearable. The clothes cling to the skin, the sunlight is blinding and the only haven is a cool room. The climax, the storm itself, comes with dinnertime. The temperature doesn’t drop by much as it should as the dark clouds approach along with sudden flashes. They’re not thunders because few of them are audible. They aren’t lightning because they merge with dimming daylight so that all one can see is a flash that alights the sky for a mere second. The raindrops hit the window or come the room along with breeze. The duration of a summer storm is unpredictable. Some last minutes, some hours. Like during the daytime, the best way to avoid the rain is to stay at home. Drink tea, read a book, cuddle… It is during one of these summer storm days that this happened.

Gender Bender Plot Bunny
A bizarre event results in switched genders for Snape's potion's class (you can expand if you want) !

This bunny just kept getting fatter off the humorous ideas that spawned in my head.

Who know's if it'll be do-able, but I know it would have hilarious consequences.

(BTW, Gender switching seems to happen in a lot of anime and manga: Ranma1/2 is popular one)

Basically, some accident happens, potions, peeves did it, freaky time turner+potions accident occurs and switches the genders of everyone in class (or more if you want)  This includes Snape and Hermione(of course) as well as the rest of the golden trio. A lot of other people are optional. 

The way I thought, this could be more or less challenging. On the more challenging side, this spell or mishap could be so complete, that it re-writes the gender-bended people's lives (except they remember they've been switched, although everyone else outside the incident thinks everything's normal)

or less complicated, where they just switch, and end up being crossdressed (haha) and have to accomodate, and those unaffected try to help. (probably the more hilarious route)

You might have to make up masculinized(is that a word) or feminized(probably not a word) names for those switched.

Also, how does everyone react to being the opposite gender? Obviously Hermione and Snape have to get together somehow. Who knows. I think the situation could be mostly funny, or it could be almost serious. 

And how does everyone get back to being normal if they do get back?

Well, that's my bizarre bunny. Have fun and be free you little lop-eared freakazoid.

I'd post this as a challenge, but I don't have the time to really deal with the, er, consequences of my actions if I do!  If you want to discuss this idea/collaborate on it, email me at wyrddsmith@earthlink.net  (I am working on the idea myself, but really want to see what others might do with it.)

The basics:
1. Write the story strictly from the point of view of  another character than Hermione or Snape, preferably Ginny Weaseley.  Use only the one character's point of view; no skipping from head to head!

2. Setting is post final battle.  Valdemort is defeated or not, your choice - but he isn't an immediate threat.

3. Snape and Hermione have had a romantic relationship of some sort, but Snape no longer recalls it due to some form of magical incident.  The cause of his amnesia is up to you.  Snape does NOT know he's forgotten anything, and thinks of Hermione just like he did in school - as an annoying know-it-all.

4. Ginny (or whomever) works in a job that allows her to boss Snape around a little and enlist his help to search for Hermione, who has dropped out of sight after the final battle.  Snape's not exactly thrilled.  You decide if Ginny is a deliberate matchmaker or if it is inadvertent.  She does know what he has forgotten, however.

5. Ginny (or whomever) is actually Snape's friend, a development resulting from working together during the war.  She knows a side of him hardly anyone else has discovered, the man beneath the biting sarcasm.

6. There is danger, intrigue and Hermione getting a minor booboo which Snape has to tend.  He learns of the memory loss.

7. Snape discovers what he is missing from his memory, and has to deal with it.

Bonuses to you if you can figure out how to include these (I just like 'em, want to see how they can fit in!):
1. Someone parodying Snape's first lecture to his First Years ('bottling fame', etc.)
2. Magical accident was involving a pensieve.
3. Another Mrs. Weasley knitting project, preferably with Slytherin colors.
4. The conversation, "I can apparate with the best of them!" answered with, "Then why did you leave your pants at home?"
5. Dumbledore saying (and not out of character, there has to be a reason), "I'm not a clueless git, Severus."
6. The story is told through correspondence or diary entries, at least in part.  (Ginny is the only character in canon I recall writing a diary, and that's why I like her for this story.)
7. The phrase "Snogging in dark corners happens to be a hobby of mine."
